About Jonathan 

Jonathan works as a Research Associate at the University of Montana's Boone & Crockett Wildlife Conservation Program. He is also an Instructor with the Clark Fork Watershed Education Program (CFWEP) and coaches skiing on the weekends with the Missoula Ski Education Foundation (MSEF). He is an active volunteer and a member of the Missoula Sunrise Rotary.


Jonathan earned a bachelor's in Wildlife Biology with a Climate Change Studies minor from the University of Montana and holds a master's degree in Public Administration (Public Policy Certificate) also from UM. 


He has served as a Max Baucus Leader in the U.S. Senate, a Demmer Scholar with the Legislative Affairs Office of the U.S. Forest Service, and represented Montana at the bipartisan Western Governors' Association Leadership Institute. 


Jonathan was elected to serve House District 96 in November 2022 and began his first term on January 2, 2023. His campaign for the legislature was endorsed by: The Montana Federation of Public Employees, AFL-CIO, Montana Conservation Voters, Montanans for Choice, Big Sky 55+, the Missoula County Commissioners, and other leaders in the Missoula community.


In addition to his work on the Economic Affairs Interim Committee and Environmental Quality Council, Jonathan is a Co-Chair for the Montana Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (MDLCC), on the Board of Big Sky Democrats.
